Welcome to my world of sustainable skincare. As a massage therapist I was trained to use sweet almond & essential plant oils for their naturally therapeutic effect on both mind & body. Following years of practice & a deepening awareness of the damage caused by artificial chemicals, during lockdown, I developed a range of cosmetically certified, plant-based products for everyone to use -
kind to body, mind & our planet.
My aim is to help uplift, revive and restore, both body and mind, blending aromatic natural skin care plant oils, combined with nourishing sweet almond oil, coconut oil, shea butter, rosehip, golden jojoba, beeswax, Epsom salts and vitamin E oil, without ever resorting to artificial chemicals, colours or preservatives.
All of my naturally scented skin care oils, body balms, mood oils, lip, hand & foot balms, face oils, & spa salts, are hand blended in the Garden of England (Kent!) with regular trips to London, every other week for pop-up stalls, gardening & family.
Each of my unique formulas is of course checked and certified by a chemist (CPSR registered) and each small batch is coded for easy reference and identification.
I don't concoct artificial aromas, preservatives or colours when nature has already done it for me - so you can breathe deeply and know that you are treating yourself and our shared planet with thoughtful respect when using my hand made skin care products.
Stone Bay is a sandy cove in Broadstairs, Kent - great for walking, surfing, paddling, sun basking, shell spotting, contemplation, swimming and of course on sunny days a free source of essential vitamin D.
It's also in an inspiring area of natural beauty to blend and photograph my hand made aromatherapy skin care products!
Sweet almond oil lies at the heart of my nourishing hand made skin care products (a massage therapist favourite!) to help soothe and nourish dry skin - plus a healthy percentage of grain based vitamin E, with it's natural antioxidant properties, to help maintain skin tone and texture and slow down the ageing effects of environmental toxins.
According to studies* some people who suffer from a loss of smell following a virus such as Covid-19, can be helped in recovering their olfactory senses using a technique called SMELL TRAINING. This method of repeatedly smelling a group of essential oils has been used as a helpful tool in re-training a person's ability to once again appreciate olfactory pleasures.
Originally described as an 'odour prism', four categories were designed to assist in helping patients re-train their olfactory senses: flowery, fruity, aromatic and resinous - testament to the power of essential oils and their use in helping some people regain their post-viral olfactory loss.
